Classes are 10 weeks each with online access 24/7. Budget 5 hours per week to complete course work. A certificate of completion will be issued upon course completion for STP classes. All 6 STP classes must be completed for the AGC STP Certification.
200 SERIES: SUPERVISORY TRAINING PROGRAM (STP)
STP Unit 1 - 201S Leadership and Motivation
Leadership is one of the most important skills a construction supervisor can practice, which is at the heart of this construction superintendent training course. Successful leaders continue to learn how to be good leaders.
STP Unit 3 - 205T Planning and Scheduling
Students learn and apply basic construction planning and scheduling skills. Prepare bar chart schedules and critical path schedules. Read complex project schedules, and understand the basics of project management by scheduling, Employ acceleration techniques.
STP Unit 5 - 206T Construction Productivity and Cost Management
Students learn the prime objective for all supervisors in construction: completing projects on time and within budget. This class specifically focuses on construction cost and applies principles and practices associated with cost awareness and production control to different elements of a project.
STP Unit 6 - 203P Risk Management and Problem Solving
Students learn how to utilize specific methods to reduce risk, prevent loss, and ensure a safe working environment. Students will discuss the delegation of responsibility for safety, equipment maintenance, and common construction hazards, and other essential discussions for a safe and productive jobsite as found in our online construction certificate programs.
